Considering the meteor is gonna come in about 30 years we'll probably be able to stop it. Just think about it, tech is advancing all the time, who knows what we'll be able to do by that time. So it seems like the apocalypse won't be happening any time soon
The world will be destroyed in approximately 5 billion years when the sun finally dies and because a supernova, generating enough destructive power to whipe out all the planets in our solar system, and if you choose not to believe that then just think about how all the planets will function without a heat source, without light, etc. i really dont care, as ill be long dead by then and i dont belive in reinsarnation. also, yes, they have attempted to conduct scientific tests to express the power of stars, and a star the size of the sun would have approximately a 10 billion year life source.
