Hey guys, i need GR's assistance. You see i just noticed that there is something wrong with my smudging. I have photoshop CS2. I smudge, and when i set it to a blending mode like maybe Colour Dodge, or any blending mode, it gets all chunky. Can u plz help me out? Its killing my smudge sigs. :( What did i do wrong? And i checked and i didn't do anything to the brush, e.x. Scattering, other Dynamics.

check all the smudge settings. may be the blending mode of the smudge itself

dont use too soft brushes, like the default one and in the settings increase the scattering size if you want better results !

Use a chalk or Oil brush on around 60px and change the "brush settings"...it might also be because you change it to color dodge.

Or am I not getting? Take a screenshot of what you mean.

That is what my smudging looks like, there is nothing wrong with that, unless you are going for a more scattered look, play around with the settings, you should be fine.
