Hello GR folk, Really i want to have a discussion and see peoples points of view on nuclear power. I am doing a presentation for tomorrow and am way behind on my work load. So i really would like to here peoples points of view... Take in to acount: Bombs- wide scale distruction invovled Power- A great way to obtain power Pollution- all the waste and all etc. Thanks for (reading/Commenting on) this
this is what i thikn about iran and its nuclear power the countries really poor people r starving on the street and they want nuclear power? im sure tehre using it for bombs and stuff
Hmm nuclear..were should I start? Bombs. I think the nuclear bombs should only be in use for precious moments such as war, not for some stupid reasons such as hatrid or superpower. That would be completely stupid to drop bombs on countrys just out of pure hate. For power. Like I said, countries want to make them just to be a threat. Pure stupidity. Nuclear bombs are to powerful for stupid countried to handle. (No offense to anyone here ofcourse) Yea as said in#1, some countries just want to do it for pure hatrid. They dont see how it damages our atmosphere deeply. It pollutes a hella lot for someone just to do it as a thread/hatrid.
yo nuclear power i think that we should just go in the middle east and nuke em get em off the side of the earth.
I'd just like to point out that countries usually go to war because they hate eachother. Saying that nuclear bomb are only good for wars is like saying that guns are only good for shooting. They were created to be used as a weapon. There's no way that we can get all countries to get rif of their nuclear armorments, it's just a matter of time until some nut bombs another country. As for nuclear power, it is a very good source of energy and I feel that as long as it is used as safely and with the upmost amount of caution it is very useful.
No, it's stupid. Though the tower only produces steam and no deadly gases, if any leaks, it's a big problem. We all know what happened in Cherknobal, and that was HUGE damadge to the community and the world. It's far to risky, also it gets brought it to war, and that is just silly. Way to dangerous. Nuclear causes more negative effects than positive. Waste of time. Ideal for terrorist attacks, if they descide to bomb a nuclear power station it's gonna hit the country BIG time.

It can lead to a bright and promising future, but like many might say, it only works if the country knows what their doing. Incidents like Chernobyl in Russia and such can be a big problem, but thats because of human error. Until we can further study and learn to properly handle the material with efficiency and security, it is not worth it. Just one piece of uranium or plutonium can power a dirty bomb, and its this kind of threath that makes people think that nuclear power isnt worth it. Also, people get the idea of boms and generators being similar, where they can actually be easily seperated. As long as we keep a keen eye for detail when it comes to how they enrich material for energy, we can make sure we dont have another Iran or North Korea, but then again, we all know that a missile is hard to make. N. Korea worked on theirs for years and it was only in-air for 45 seconds before failure. It takes vast resources to make a bomb, and developed nations can monitor how smaller nations go about using technology to create nuclear generators and only enrich to a certain level. All in all, nuclear energy is 50/50: risky for many but also very efficient. The only other element that could out-power nuclear is anti-matter and thats far from being usable.
its fine if its in the right hands... but if in the wrog hands, hell on earth's gonna break out... it does do alot of pollution though and takes a REALLY long time to de-radioatify (shut up).
