    drop ultra, get antec or something else.

    drop your AMD cpu and board, and get AM2.

    drop XP home and get XP MCE 2005

    you're better off waiting until conroes due date. thats where amd cpus get their prices chopped down.

    true, but AM2 processors arent that expensive..

    I guess if you want to wait you can get a Conroe... but AM2 is fine. Also... get something other than Ultra.

    CONROE, out in like 10 days if INQ/wikipedia is correct... kills AM2... cheaper for what you get the 6600 is 2.4GHz, outperforms and FX60 and costs 100$ less than the 4400+ even if you're forced to buy an outrageously priced motherboard you're still ahead.

    drop the 7800GT for a 7900GT. The 7900GT is cheaper, uses less energy(die shrink/new fab process) and is considered to be slightly ahead of the 7800GTX in terms of performance.
