ive seen some desktops in the "show off your desktop" threads, where people have different looking taskbars, and ive seen different startup windows, etc. where can i get those, and how do i use em? =)
if you have 1gb of ram, go ahead, but if you have 512mb or lower, Windowsblinds or Alienguise will slow your computer down. the uxtheme hack will not..

The thing is that the skins available for the uxtheme modification arent really that great, ive considered making my own, but i dont have the time or the coding experience to do it, windowblinds has alot of great skins and if you can find a copy of object desktop you can make them really easily, i have a few of them i really love, but i do admit the system memory aspect is a little erm... blah?
If you could close the Explorer and use windows blinds as your explorer ... . . . . it might be worth a try... but, you prolly cant... so there is no use in wasting stuff you can use for Making Pi... or Making games run better... or for searching through vast amounts of porn faster... it's just eye candy for a person that needs the stuff for PS or the above... it's useless.
