I would have to agree. I have 2 G5 mice, one at the office and one at home. Love both of them. Never had an issue with either of them. Not everyone likes the same mice, so give the razor a try, you might like it better.

I used to have a wireless wouse, but found the bit of lag between the mouse and base station always got me killed in game. Switched to the G5 and have never looked back.

I have a logitech MX1000, really nice in the hand, not branded gaming but i use it for a lot of FPS's and it works a treat, i would really recomend logitech, i have had two logitech wireless mice and i have NEVER had any lag what so ever, and i think they might have a one year garantue on that G5 so give them a call.
If you really wanted a gaming mouse.
G7 (new carbon fiber one looks nice, wireless)
G5 (i know what you said)
    MX1000
Almost all razer mice are good.

That's NOT true. Wireless can go wrong and batteries (no matter how long they last) do go out at one point. Erm... I have a bluetooth though, and I think it might just be my power supply but, it has killer response and range. (That is not a suggestion).

I like the one you got picked out for yourself.
