I usually have 44 processes running but i want to cut down on them as i start to clean up my pc. Any of these look like they should be gotten rid of? utorrent.exe firefox.exe notepad.exe alg.exe msimn.exe explorer.exe vsmon.exe wdfmgr.exe zlclient.exe nvsvc32.exe spoolsv.exe avgcc.exe raysat_3dsmax8server.exe razerofa.exe svchost.exe svchost.exe PDVDServ.exe java.exe MDM.exe razerhid.exe wrapper.exe rundll32.exe svchost.exe svchost.exe svchost.exe avgemc.exe lsas.exe services.exe winlogon.exe csrss.exe avgupsvc.exe SOUNDMAN.exe smss.exe avgamsvr.exe AdskScSrv.exe taskmgr.exe msmsgs.exe PNXSERVR.exe jusched.exe daemon.exe razertra.exe msnmsgr.exe System System Idle Process
Some of them are simply what programs you have running i.e. Firefox.exe, utorent.exe, notepad.exe, e.t.c.
hopefully, you ran those all yourself. do us a favor. go to start -> run and type in msconfig go to the startup tab an tell us what is there...

(Outlook,Nvidia-Tray,..)
Yep...a useful thing when you leave your computer on where anyone can do something...i always do it Startup programs are: SOUNDMAN NvCpl nwiz NvMcTray razerhid PDVDserv NeroCheck avgcc zlclient daemon jusched PNXSERVR msmsgs adobe reader speed launch adobe gamma
ones you can uncheck: soundman - all it does is gives you an extra volume control NeroCheck - checks for cd-rs, just not needed.. daemon - doesnt need to startup to provide virtual drives msmsgs- unless you use msn, you dont need it to startup adobe reader speed launch - yeah, itll load acrobat faster, but unless you use it every day, its unneeded adobe gamma - not needed... there might be more, but those are the ones i know right off the bat.
umm, twisted, shut up... what do you mean by *cough* wares?? bit torrent is not illegal, he could be downloading linux distros, which is perfectly legal.. there was a thread on this...
System Idle Process is don't disable it immediately... also, msconfig as has been mentioned, run some av/spyware/adaware/malware scans and that should cut it down. also, if you are absolutely desperate to close some, close notepad...
