Ok well im on windows 98.

So I turn my tower on it it goes to a screen with safe mode, normal mode, etc.

Now I click normal mode and well the screen goes black and the underscore ( _ ) does the flashing, then usually my monitor will click and come on and my desktop and all that will show up. Now as of the past few days it has been doing this and sometimes it works and other times it doesn't, so does anyone know how I can fiz this or possibly go into safe mode and do something.

On my birthday (the 27th) I will be getting my new compaq tower with xp. I think I might just leave this computer on until my birthday so I don't have to keep going through this.
