Restoring Phpbb Database

    ok well I got this new phpbb forum and i got my .sql of the old one (the backup database). But when i go to restore database in the phpbb admin panel and I load the .sql. It says that it was successful but no changes were made and the data isn’t there.

    Does anyone know what im doing wrong ?

    did u get rid of the existing one, cause it might be overiding the other1 cause its newer

    you could do it in phpmyadmin and you might not have to deal with the issue :)

    ill try it buy phpMyAdmin to see what happends... and there is no old one because the forum in brand new

    yeah in phpmyadmin select all the tables and go to the bottom and click [select all] then select drop all from the drop down menu. Then click on the SQL button and upload file. select your db and press GO
