id say a system restore, but you could also do this

you can un-install some updates in add/remove programs, but some dont show up cause windows doesnt want you to delete it, like windows genuine advatage....

to get rid of the rest, use ccleaner on the left, hit the tools buttons and un-install them

I'd say go with the uninstall thing before doing a system restore. System Restores can be such a bother.

I'd also suggest getting a mac. Cause then you dont gotta mess with that junk :/

Okay here we go... Now look what you've started by suggesting he get a Mac, lol.

"blah blah blah Macs are better. No blah blah blah Windows are better becasue the plutonium doesn't need charging from the nuclear alogorythm convertor and the hydrogen peroxide doesn't die!"

    Anyway..

I suggest using CCleaner to uninstall Windows Genuine Advantage and the latest update you installed, and if that doesn't work then go to system restore and hope to god it works. If that doesn't work, call or contact Microsoft in some other way and ask them about it if they've been having problems or something.

if you dont like the windows genuine thing download a program called killbox and press ctrl alt delete and find the .exe that is making the icon pop up then put the file path in killbox restart and delete with it then its gone then when you get the update again go to advance never tell me about this update again :)

 Is it a proper copy of windows?

If it isn't then the most of the updates seem to crash pcs...that's why i bought a new copy. ^_^
