It all started yesterday evening, everything was fine 'till I logged on today. Windows doesn't load anything anymore, which it always had done; no deamon tools, no avast, no prismafirewall, no speedfan, no xfire, no etc) ) I have to load it manually. I checked if they were enabled in the program itself but no. I cannot visit ANY site anymore, with firefox and internet explorer. I'm posting this topic by going to my computer and enter gamerenders.com in the bar. I can go on MSN or XFire, it'll work. I've been chattin with Master, so its not my ISP. Its really wierd. All other people in my country with the same ISP got internet. Now my isp told us they would double the internet speed so they would have some downtime, well I can chat with anyone and I can visit GR in my computer so I dont know. I cant believe its my ISP that allows me to go to xfire/msn but not to internet explorer. Both Fx/IE dont use a proxy and always worked. Okay thats the first problem, now everytime I start my PC, CHKDSK starts scanning, it just does it everytime the same. I cant defrag it, or making it stop doing it everytime. Ive ran both Avast 4 Pro, CCleaner & Ad-Aware. I deleted some stuff but it still didnt work. Before I found out that I could go in internet with the my computer way, I asked a friend to download ad-aware (since I didnt had it on my computer, no clue why) and send it to me by xfire. He did and when it was 100% windows said that the file was damaged and that CHKDSK was running or something. I installed it and it worked fine. What can I do. Should I wait 4 days till they finished my ISP upgrade and then see it the problem is still there?
might need a reformat... id just persomally wait until theyre done... but obviously youre on a dif computer..
Xmaster, he is on the same computer, he is just accessing the internet through My Computer, I Think. Sometimes my computer gets moody too, and the internet doesn't work for a few days. I just leave it and it just randomly starts to work. Sometimes I have to clear my cache and cookies, and it works.
@Canada, your right. I ran them both, but not in safemode. Ad-Aware found some stuff and Avast Pro found a Trojan, bot 'r removed.
I would try this website http://www.geekstogo.com/, you just need to register in their forum. Follow thier steps on how to remove adaware, viruses, trojans, etc.. They'll ask you to post your log and they will review it to see if there's still residue of stuff you don't need in your system. It worked for me when a trojan redirector was in my system. Goodluck.
