this comp. is for my moms place so thats y i picked 512 cuz im hardy over there and the thing will just sit. and i dont plan on upgrading it. as for the specs in my sig thats my current computer which i do not plan on replacing
go for socket 939 or am2, doesn't cost any more. 754 only suports 2gb ram in 2 slots. if you wanted mroe ram on 754, you'de have to throw out the 256s anyway in the future... for the processor pay the 3$ more and get the 3500+ it's 3$ http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16819103533, or drop down to the 3200+ which is only $99 price diference is minimal again i suggest a better motherboard http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16813138264 that's the best budget board out there pretty much. again ---- AGP, it costs MORE We told you this before when you went for your AGP x800, we'll tell you again ---- AGP... get the exact card i linked to, it's less before rebate, and even elss after harddrive: you got the cheapest drive out there more or less. Gof ro that or either the WD250 cavier which stores 4 times as much for 80$ either way it's not bad though, when you do run out of space, you could always just buy a 250GB drive in a year for 40ish and be ahead... ram, I'm going to have to suggest more, 512mb just doesn't really cut it in todays enviroment. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16820227031 excellent overclocking ram for the cost given the rebate should you choose to go that route.(5$ more than the very cheapest ram so not too shaby) case: whatever flips your boat, PSU is crap(http://images10.newegg.com/NeweggImage/productimage/11-156-043-08.jpg) only 11amps on the 12V rail and single rail, don't expect a 100% stable system(you have a GFX card which wants 11amps on it's own and a CPU that wants 11 too and they both use 12V power) though it will get you by with only moderate crashes. but that's allright I guesse given you're ona budget. PSU won't suffice for much more that wht you have. Personally in your position I'd suggest the cheapest case out there, and Tagan's Epuma http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16817101513 http://images10.newegg.com/NeweggImage/pro...-101-513-05.JPG note how it deleivers 28AMps on the 12V rail, that is more than sufficient, nearly three times as much energy than Raidmax. Also note that it's rated 450W sustained whereas the raidmax is likely rated for 380 PEAK(meaniing for a fraction of a second) witha ny luck, you very well might be able to push your processor to 2.6-8GHz if you overclock. That's athlon 4000+ and FX57 territory right there... EDIT: here is an explanation of how power supplys matter- Everything in a systems draws DC power from a PSU. In the last 5 or so years, most systems try to use the 12V rail as much as possible as less energy is lost over it(P=A^2*R thus meaning power lost is exponential when the amerage is raised) so the amperage deleivered on the 12V rail is VERY important. the 12V rail powers your processor, motherboard, and GFX cards and in many cases peripherals. 3V and 5V rails are used very minimally. I have TWO 19V 12 amp rails on my PSU. both deleivering at a higher efficiency than that crap raidmax...
ok thx ill get the stuff u just said and sense it will have pci e i guess ill get this card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16814150130 thx for posting the parts ill just take out the other carp and replace over that. as for the HDD goes all im keeping on is maybe one or 2 games cuz i have a porable ex hard drive thats 160Gbs i take with me and stuff and has all my data games pictures movies etc. and i have a qustion that puma is lil to much $ will this on i posted on here be just as good? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16817704006
links compressed... I'll look for some cheap PSUs... EDIT: just cut the second optical drive(plain CD) you only need one. All DVD drives read CD. after shipping thats 20$ saved by simply not BSing with two drives which will be well spent on the PSU... again you an also drop the case unless you realy need the PSU included(will work very well for circa 2000PCs, or PCs using INT GFX)
