go to start -> run -> type in msconfig

go to the startup tab. uncheck everything you dont want to startup on setup.

    also, try adaware...

if that fails, do it in safe mode (F8 at the XP splash)

startup in safe mode(press f8 repeatedly whiel windows is starting) then run eah and every single one of the system security programs mentioned in the stickied thread here and see if that helps. run mS config after and remove anything uneeded form the startup tab and then startup again normally.

you cannot turn off svchost in msconfig, mate..

you can disable everything in msconfig, and your computer will still run...

give us a screenshot if you are unsure..

Yeah, I hope that is wrong... that means you have a 3.06GHz processor running at 1.60... let me show you an example of my OC.

Also.. you might want to check the OS show time. If it is 30 Seconds it will take longer to boot.

yes, it is running at nearly half the speed. You have something faulty. It is throwing it back to keep it from burning up. Ever had it shut down on you?

To fix it you may have to reset the HS. I am sure you know how to do that?

I would still check and see how hot everything is getting. Erm.. system monitor(Yeah?) in BIOS or something that tells you temps and stuff... erm... also you could use CPU-Z and PC Wizzard... Everest...

just try seeing what your Core speed is doing and see what temps you get.

kk, UMmm cant find were it says the temps in CPU-z, But it says the Core speeds around 1600 and same if you choose locial unit from that arrow at bottem

PCAlert from MSI says the CPU temp = 32*c And Sys = 35*C
