    ATi's offerings aren't too bad...

i'd think that there would be an intel board with SLi available on launch though..

and of those mid-highend offerings though would server you well for the present, i mean they will max out most of everything out there.

Yes they will, both DFI and Asus will release one with the nForce 590 Chipset, which uses 16x16 mode, instead of 8x8 in Crossfire. I see they also rised the price of the 1900xt from 360 to 400 in my local shop...

bandwidth isn't a huge issue, performance wise going from 16*16 to 4*4 shouldn't really matter too much as again bandwidth isn't an issue. AGP 8x delivers about the ame bandwidth as PCI-e 4x, don't tell me performance on PCI-e 16x is 4 times as great because performance on the AGP bus is typically marginally higher(almost negligeably though) due to less overhead and no apparent need for the bandwidth

anyone who pays twice as much for an increase o bandwidth is anidiot. only case where I could see abndwidth being an issue is with octuple SLi...

I haven't doena lot fo research on NF5 boards, but shouldn't 570 do everything 590 does minus the bandwidth increase?

You can use 32x Antrostropic Filtering :P We'll see later when they come out, if there's no huge price difference I'll still go for the 590 :P
But there are no good nforce 5 mobo's out, yet. So I'll have to wait.

Would I be able to play games like NFSMW(with the 7600GT SLi) on 1440x900 with some AA/AS on? Im getting 20FPS with everything on low with this card :P 800x600x32, no aa/as(it would kill the card if it was on ;P) and everything low in the game configuration. Also is the x800GTO also a crossfire card because they have the same price as the 7600GT.

can't guarantee, but i can play them(source games) at 11*10 (or w/e that resolution is) with 8XAA, and 16X AS on a mere 7800GT no problems with every ingame setting maxed.

    EDIT:

also given the nature fo the 7600GTs, I beleive the stepup from 16AS to 32 wouldn't be worth the performance hit,, given the fact that you can't even tell tooo much...

Hmm, maybe I should order it now and just get a 1900XT and when R600 buy a R600? I dont think the 7600GT SLI will massively own the 1900XT, right? What do you'll think ?
    I dont really know... :S
