I doubt hed go to ATL, PHI would want some of their younger players in return. One being Marvin Williams or Al Harrington so I dont see that happening UNLESS they get a third team in there and work something incredible out.
Didn't think of that but yes that would be a factor since it's obvious he most likely won't be resigned.
Every team in the NBA who doesn't have a premiere guard claims they are close to having Iverson. Truth is, nothing is going to happen. Sixers can not afford to lose him, at least not now. Iverson is like 80% of their merchandise selling, and he's probably about 80% of the reason why people go to the Sixers games. If Iguadola becomes a premiere player in the NBA and not just a bench all-star player then the Sixers will never get rid of Iverson.
Right now the Sixers need to rebuild. Iverson is taking up a large portion of the salary cap on that team and with him aging, the upside of signing Iguodala to a long-term deal is looking mighty nice. Iguodala, once he gets a stronger outside shot, will become a very good player. He's already one of the rising stars in the League, so if he's given the chance to shine more often, it will come. You have some decent players on that team outside of Iverson, and he still can bring in a good offer to the Sixers if they find a team he wants to play for.
Don't believe everything you see on TV. Iverson isn't going anywhere. He does take up most the salary cap and all that mumbo jumbo but he still brings people to the games and sells stuff for the Sixers. The Sixers are going to be like every Philadelphia team and wait until his trade value goes down then they're going to trade him. This will probably be in a few years when he's older and can't do as much in years past or when he gets into some trouble.
