IBM 770z laptop, cd drive, floppy drive, windows xp professional, pentium 2, 363 MHz, 192 mbs of ram, Graphics: Trident Video Accelerator 3D Cyber9397DVD. 50 bux, think its a good deal? Or what could I possible do on it or upgrade..
363 MHz, ive never seen was as low actually, it could probably be upgraded if you had some extra cash, what will you be using it for?
id use it for games like , warhammer , css , mabey things like that , get the gfxs card and that upgraded but its worth $50
meh, it's only worht the money if your going to use it, and you can't use it for too much so think about what you'd be doing... I can't stand windows xp oon under 500 mhz, sooo laggy especially during window switching...
I doubt that set up would be able to run css at all, well when i say 'run it' i mean reasonably as for memory im not sure how much you would need for them games best let someone else fill you in on that hope i helped a little bit.
Personally, i think that Laptops are crap no matter what kind of Laptop you buy. 192 MB RAM? Dude, you wont be able to run anything with that. You need at least 1024, especially since its a laptop.
i have 504 and its doing a hell of a job with americas army... I have a laptop also so i dont know where you got 1024
It likely wont be upgradable and theres zero chance it'll be able to run CS:S/Warhammer or any game made after 2001 for that matter. Even if it is upgradeable you won't be able to upgrade the parts to anything able to play games as it's incredibly obsolete
i would buy it only for travelling like goin on the internet and msn just that kind of stuff and maybe just typin stuff if ur gonna run games or programs(Photoshop) then i highly know its gonna crash or overheat
its not going to overheat. 1) it would just take a very long time to load. the colors would be ----ed up. there would be no point in even opening photoshop. I would suggest reformatting to at highest, windows 2000. windows xp is just too much for that computer.
ya, and your not going to be able to upgrae the video card unless you wanna get REALLY down and dirty with some tools ...
I wouldnt spend $50 on that, probally. I might do though, depending on the situation. I suppose it may be possible, with time and hassle to upgrade, but that'll cost a bit o' buck itself. If you need it, and will use, get it, if its just a novelty, give it a miss. Just my 2 cents.
