Unable To View History On Msn Messenger

    Title says it all... heres what i get when i try to view anyones message history (and they are all in the folder specified)...

    Already tried uninstall and reinstall, already tried installing an old version of MSN as well...

    i had this problem, but mine corrected itself after i reinstalled msn so i dont know why urs didnt.

    There is gotta be a file under the name of "MessageLog" is an XSL Stylesheet which can be opened w/ any explorer, (EI, MF). If your msn doesnt automaticly makes this file, then there is a problem with the installation.


    And, by the way, the file must be in the same folder, so if you ever changed where u saved ur conversations, the file will be in the old location, but it should have maked a new one, so make sure that file is there. ;)

    i have that file... and it works fine in IE, FX and Opera.. and its in that folder...

    and ppic, you mean my DP on msn? :P

    uninstall it and go back to IE6 or lower, for some reason they seem to conflict, tell me how it does

    cant uninstalling internet explorer cause problems for the OS? i heard that it did somewhere...

    windows live messenger, it was just released as an official release by MS (point being thats what most people are using now, i used it when it came out in beta)...

    open control panel and click on add or remove programs, once the list shows up click the "show updates" box. Go down to the bottom of the list and look for windows xp software updates, there should be a indented list under it. Look in the list for Internet explorer beta 2, or something similar, click on it and click the uninstall/remove button, let the un installer run then reboot your pc, and then tell me if its working. Uninstalling IE7 will NOT cause a problem for your os as it was a update, uninstalling it just reverts IE back to the default version taht came with your pc (usually IE6)
