I'm looking to upgrade my Nvidia GeForce2 MX/MX 400. Can someone find me one that will be a significant upgrade from my current one? It needs to be $90 or less and AGP only.

So far I have found Sapphire Radeon 9600 XT 256MB, but I don't know if this will make a big difference over my old one.

Edit: Also, if it matters, this is my my computer:

I'm liking the 6200. Looks like a good card.

But now I'm thinking that another 512mb of ram will make more difference in gaming than a graphics card upgrade (since I can't even afford a decent graphics card). Am I right? Or should I just get a 6200?

9600XT seems liek the best oen to me. I consider it one of the beter bang/$ cards ut there. Higher clock than the 9250,more pipelines. 9250 is eugh...

also, you don't need 256mb vram on the card, it won't really be used, performance wouldn't increase much over the 128mb version.

Have to agree with Computer Kid especially for a 2-10 dollar diffrence, however if your not a huge gamer overall and want to get alot of extra things along with the card. This isn't a bad deal either... (ATI All In Wonder 2006 Edition $97.99)

Ehh although it's a bit faster out of the box the 6600 is more stable to overclock at faster speeds imho. Not to mention the fact I'm not that fond of saphire's quality either. But it does look like a better card yes. (is it obvious I like nvidia better? lol)

Yeah newegg owns my credit card as well as quite a few other places lol... 3g has been around for a good while, out of the 20+ transactions I have made there I've had one issue with them that was resolved in less than 12hrs

^^ That would also depend on this kids ability to overclock and whether his motherboard has that feature. If he doesnt overclock at all (even if he does), i would still choose the x1600pro. Though it does not matter, its memory is large, its stock frequencies, and its pipelines is +4 that of the 6600... all for what, like $6more?

i'm agreeing with john there, the x1600 pro might not beat the x800GTO, but it does beat the 6600GT.

wait computer kid doesn't know ---- and recomended the 6600 which i more or less 3/5s of a 6600GT
