ATiTool is th only one I can think of.

don't count on hgh though, it wasn't a high end card when it came out 2 years ago. 256mb of Vram i nothing on that card because it only wants to use around 128ish.

    i'm assuming it's a desktop card

no. they tend to rate cards well below what they can handle. heat isn't a huge issue(assuming your card has a fan, i know the 550 doesn't have active cooling) and a moderate OC wouldn't do much of anything but extend the practical life of it. if you somehow voltmodded it for the OC that''s a diferent issue though. just OC it until you see artifacting and then back down a little and you're set.

us should be able to overclock it a bit. Does not harm the card unless you increase the volts too high or the temps get too high. anything below 80C is fine.

Just use a nice OC and if that doesn't help, you may need a new graphics card. True, ATi tool is the better one for OCing and an ATi card can handle up to 120*C so you SHOULD be fine on the temps.

though I've never used ATiTool, I'm sure it has a temp monitoring utility.

I do not know if this applies to your graphics card but I got a cheap 9,600. On the new driver I can not seem to find it but on an old driver it had a "smart overclock" where it would moniter the tempreture while overclocking itself, and if overheating it would stop overclocking until it cooled down and would restart. (I of course didn't have it overheat since my computer stays cool .)

Don't know. Post versions and other stuff and start your own topic and I will see about helping you further.
