Photoshop Problem

    Every time i open photoshop it says
    --------------
    Unable to continue becuase there is a software or hardware problem.
    Unable to find problem, Sorry.
    --------------
    and then it closes out.
    i have tried reinstalling it and repairing it. If anyone can help please respond.

    version?

    did you delete the "whole" thing?

    you need to delete out:

    C:\Documents and Settings\*user*\Application Data\Adobe\Photoshop

    you need to select view hidden files in folder options in order to see this.

    yes i deleted everything and im using cs2.

    did you download the correct version

    ex:

    Mac or Windows


    and make sure you got the download from adobe too

    umm the mac version wont work on PC, and vice versa. you wouldnt even get to install it...

    Did you pay for it? If you diddn't, and got a cracked version, it is no use asking for help here because your warez version probably contains viruses and missing files. Your own problem.

    But if it is legal, your computer probably does not support Photoshop, or there was a problem with installation. I'm pretty sure that CS2 has some problems running on Win98 and older, so if you are using that, I strongly suggest you upgrade to XP, or downgrade your Photoshop to Version 7.

    or try with Photoshop CS also >.>
    If it's not too much of a trouble, you could reinstall Windows, but i don't think it would help. I'm not sure.

    Thanks for all the help guys. I uninstlled everything and im installing t alll now for teh last time. Ill post if it works. If it doesnt i might just do a system restore.

    And btw i am starting to like this forum a lot. I signed up a long time ago and would never post. But i am going to become a lot more active. So if anyone could explain to me like some cool features of teh board or some tips that would be great.

    Just try getting an older version? Like 7.

    Or, if you downloaded it from Adobe, you should try redownloading it, just incase your download was corrupt or missing a few files.

    I just pulled a system restore and everything seems good. Thanks everyone.
