I was wondering if there is a way to get the best out of your downloading speed.
I have dsl and my downloads alwasy go till 150kb/sec they never go higher than that but when we signed up for the plan it said that the downloads can go upto 3.5mb/sec.
Is there a way possible to achieve that speed?
I really need this fast downloading speed :(
    Any help is appriciated

Alot of times your speed is dependant on the server your d/l ing froms speed. But in the case of DSL, the speed you get is based on your homes distance from the telephone companies CO (central office) the limit ios 18000 ft give or take. The further you are the slower it goes.

There might be some tweaks out there, but doubt you will get the speed your looking for. I use Cable and I have seen mine get to around 650KB at times, mostly lower though.

Hydrogen is dead on. You wont reall get into a guaranteed dl speed/network response, until you get into the T's.

One thing you do have to look forward to, is that with DSL atleast you know that is what you get. Unlike Cable where you are affected by how many users in your network are browsing, or chewing up bandwidth.
