No... Safe Mode. If it was interlaced through the BootSector ONLY would it be possible for even a Pro to have somewhat of a dificulty in deleting.

Also, I would have to read up on this... a firmware Virus? I HIGHLY doubt it.. but it may be possible.. and then wich, ofcourse, you have to flash.

    Merged Post:

    This just in:

    Bluetooth virus infecting Lexus firmware?
A Russian security outfit is speculating on the possibility that a virus could infect a Lexus's firmware, using Bluetooth as a vector.
It's not clear whether or not this has ever actually happened, but apparently someone asked Kaspersky Lab if they knew "how to cure a virus, which 'infected the onboard computers of automobiles Lexus LX470, LS430, Landcruiser 100 via a cell phone,'" and they conjecture that a virus could potentially use Bluetooth to jump from a Symbian-powered cellphone to the navigation system of certain Lexus models.

I would still say just flash another firmware in it and tada...

    Wow...
That's the EXACT virus i've had 3 days ago. (i also made a topic asking for a good antivirus to remove it)
    The virus is called Win32.Jeefo.A
Aparently it infects most of your .exe files. When i scanned my computer with Avast it found around 30-40 .exe files infected that had to be deleted, completely screwing my computer.
Now really bad news come. I had to reformat my entire harddrive, loosing all my data because the virus got himself so deep that i could barely open My Computer and search for Nero to try to save some data. When i managed to open Nero though, it failed to detect my CD-Rom.
So for me the only way to get rid of it was to format my harddrive.

what i do when i have those, i run a scan, get rid of the files i can with ad-aware, then for the one's that wont delete, i go to search, and say it was Win32.megaman.exe or something, i would search my comp for megaman, and anything i see, i delete,

then some files will say i cant, i press ctrl alt delete and see if i can end its proccess then delete... some times you still can't

so since i've gotten rid of some of its vital files to run on, i will restart my computer, and search it again and see if maybe it couldnt run because of all the files i deleted for it,

if that dont work, ill run a virus scan again

if that dont work ill try corrupting the file(example: changing the name from "megaman" to "poo"), and by then i have it

and make sure you keep updated back ups, you might need to restore at any time, especialy right before you run programs, or put yourself in a position where you are an easy target for a virus(example: p0rn website, with no firewall)

sounds confusing i know, but thats how i do it

I try and keep my PC as safe as possible, and Kaspersky seems to be doing that :)

LMAO.... just run your Antivirus scanners in Safe Mode and that usually just cures all of them right up. If you get a Virus within your Phone or car computer then you must take them to where you bought them. This was a question about if one exists. I still say no, but there are some that you couldn't personally remove yourself unless you have had some really nice computer education.

I think the uncurable virus is the one that deletes all exe files. You can't run antivirus in safe mode lol ... (exe was eaten by a VIRUS!)

ohhh and if you ever notice that you have a virus, the first thing you should do is un plug your internet cord :D, it'll stop the virus from fully downloading, and if there is a hacker trying to get in, it'll stop him

i call that the ULTIMATE FIREWALL

yeah, undetectable viruses exist, but if they are really undetectable, thats because they dont do "bad" things, or anti-viruses would detect the executed lines used by the virus :P

Well the Ultimate Protection would be to glue a magnet to your hard drive, I doubt he could hack it then.

I just found that I never posted on this it has been open in this tab forever. But anyways. All you have to do for that is just open up something like PC Beginner and fix the HDD and get rid of the virus through a trace. Then you can HDD backup and you can fix it.
