I'm a high-end enthusiast, always need to have the best, all the time.... call it my niche.

So does anyone know anything - I've looked and looked but nothing is to be found... any ideas or do you suppose they're waiting for Vista to fully ship with HDCP?

Well nVidia just released the 7950 GX2 this week for SLi on 1 card. I'm guessing ATi is gonna come back with something similar, and when they do nVidia will release a new driver which allows you to use two 7950 GX2's in SLi, meaning you will have Quad SLi.

ATi has no need to fool with nVidia on their gay ass Dual processor card. They are getting ready for DX10 on the inside. We already have 1GB FireGL ATi cards for DX9 I doubt you will get anything more from ATi till DX10.

the 7950GX2 is a stuntgag, they're just stalling for time...

nVidia is going to release their G80 GPU sometime this year. it will be on 90nm, use unified shaders, and be designed for high clock speeds(netburst-esque?) ATi released the R580 and called it the x1900XT/X, ATis next gen cards will most likely be a refresh because as is the x1900 is better desig n than the current G70 lineup and is a fairamount better than the R520 used in the x1300-1800
