Okay. You know all those unwanted icons on your start menu you just hate? "Set Program Access and Defaults, Etc." Well, you can actually get rid of them, yes! Even the "Help" option. ;)

All you need to do is go to:

START > RUN > GPEDIT.MSC > USER CONFIGURATION > ADMINISTRATIVE TEMPLATES > START MENU AND TASKBAR > START DOUBLE CLICKING WHAT YOU WANT TO CHANGE

You MUST be an Administrator or Power user to use this and you MUST be on a Windows XP Pro based System because GPEdit.msc is a Group Policy Editor that allows you to change Domain type options and processes.

Remember, anything that says "Remove" is going to be "Enable" to remove it... just a bit confusing, but that is M$.

    Merged Post:

NOTE: "My Recent Documents" folder is named JUST LIKE THIS: "Remove Documents menu from Start Menu".

Because I know you are all dying to get rid of that ----.

If you also Navigate to "Desktop" under Administrators Templates, you can remove your Recycle Bin and other things.

yes, you can even disable the Shut down button, so make sure you know what it is before enabling or disabling it..

That's true. Be careful with it. Also, you can always just re-open it Master..

The one you showed me is helpful.. it just don't help us get rid of the stuff we really don't need.. it just has stuff I personally want..
