imo its cheaper if you build it yourself. if you can wait until july, thats when the prices should drop.

hey mario man wait till atleast july man. with intell conroes comign out you will deffintly want to get a conroe instead of a fx 60. because the conroe e600 (i think) well any ways their $500 CPU hands amd's fx62 its own a**.
and how much do you knwo about hardwear and compoints ?
but everything in that system looks good besides the mobo and cpu. but yes and if you dont know how to build it i biuld computers for $ 25. just to keep in mind. as you can tell i dont do it for the money. just because i love to do it. i wish you the best.bye.

wait untill the middle of the month or the beginning of july for conroe(core2 duo) don't get an fx60, alll the fxs are bad bang/$, an opteron 165 costs like 1/3rd as much and can get just as high.

also don't wante 3500$ all at once as things DO get obsoleted. for $2000 you could more or less have an excellent blazing fast PC with all the bells and whistles and have 1500 left over for, well upgrades when the time comes, or better yet real things.

Definatly stay away from alienware, the prices they charge are rediculous for what your getting. Definatly wait for conroe you won't regret it.

just wait for Intel Core 2 Duo Extreme Edition. With your big price budget, that's what you should probably aim for that.

Then if you want to burn a bunch of money, you could get the 7950x2 gfx card :P Naw, probably a few X1800XTs in crossfire would pwn.

I'd say get an operaton dual core, highest specs, not exactly sure what it is, but it's meant for servers aka high loads, so I'd go with that and overclock.

A good pc yes, but with a conroe it would become extreme and still cut in under budget.
