this will definately leave a blow in the terrorist's structure, i mean i doubt they have someone who can just jump in a take his position. hopefully we kill all the terrorist leaders or at least bring them to justice.
You can't beat an ideal. Sure they killed the leader, but there are still thers who sahre the same violent ideals. I read on msn.com that there is already a suspectd successor.
I read somewhere that it was actually al-queda members that said where he was. The $25 mil was actually paid to them.
Anyhow, I really do NOT see this as A) a victory, or B) a necessarily good thing. Think about it, and I think many people will agree with me for a change, this is not going to destroy Al-Queda (SP) it's going to make them STRONGER. Why do I say that? Because now the terrorists have a reason to follow what he said. He's officially seen as a martyr now. It only brings more people to his cause with his death. Had we captured him, and held him in a cell for the rest of his life, it would have taken everything he could say about us, except that we held him against his will. It also would be far, far, far worse than any death to him, or his followers could be, because nothing could possibly be worse than being held captive by the people he hates for the rest of his life. It's really sad that it says we hail his death as a victory. Makes us Americans sound like a bloodthirsty gang of people that only wants to see our enemies die. That is a terrible thing to have generalized about us.
Actually, the reward has yet to be distributed. http://www.hindu.com/thehindu/holnus/003200606091240.htm
They akways did want revenge for the AMerican occupation of Iraq. I don't think anything will get worse, but I don't think it will get better from simply killing him. On the upside, where thye bombed they also found several lists of his followers and people who were vounteering to be suicide bombers.
