That's neat and all, but is all that really necessary?
This looks like something Apple would try to shove in their new PowerMacs-- mind-blowingly fast, yet the average user won't ever really need all that power.

    Still sweet, though.

two things... allready mentioned like almost a week ago, learn to read...

furthermore, apple doens't use mindblowingly powerful hardware(especially in terms of video cards), unfact theyjust switched to weaker hardware.

Well they did shove 4 processors into their last wave of PowerMacs. That's pretty powerful if you ask me, seeing as how most companies are just now realizing it's cool to use two processors.
And you sound like you're a believer in the megahertz myth

And you're gonna have a hard time convincing me they suck when every topic in this forum is about something going wrong with Windows and the Apple problem topics are slim to none.
Just brought them up for comparison reasons. In any case, there's no need to have this debate right now. Back to the video card...

yeah, and 10% of the computer people use Macs... so you see why people use Windows 89% of the time, and 1% for linux..

and btw, I believe we are talking on hardware, not software...

FYI:More people using one set of hardware or software more chance to find their bugs or have problems.

the mhz myth video has it's points BUT it still is lacking in a few areas, pipeline speed is also determined by the architecture of the pipeline itself, the 30stage pipeline of prescott isn't that much more innefficient than the 20 stage pipe of northwood. Furthermore, x86 has it's advantages in this moment. AMDs athlons are at somewhat higher clock speed than the g5s while still mantaining an acceptable number of pipeline stages. furthermore the core2 duos are increadibly efficient

    you, too, computer kid....

yes, the core 2 duos are about the best you can get on the market today. but when the AMD K8 comes out, it will be a battle all over again...

Just because you mentioned the card already doesn't meen everyone has seen and/or searched for your thread.

I'm actually looking into a Geforce 7950. It looks really nice. I'm either going with a 7950 or a X1900.

Also, some people here are stupid. Why do you bother argueing over Macs and Windows. You people should just use w/e you prefer, and be quiet about the other.

    ZOMG, LINUX IS TEH SUCK!
LOLOLLOL00LL1123! TEH WINDOWZ HAS SO MANY PROBLOMS!
MACS ARE THE UGLY! GRAMMR IS NO STRONG PINT!

I wouldnt get one of them, especially if you plan to OC, somewhere there is a massive forum of posts on this talking about the good bits and bad bits of this card. Can't get a link because i can't remember the site but a search on google will find it.

Cooling is bad as well for this card make sure you have good cooling set up before hand.
