Wow, you guys did some stupid stuff, the stupidest thing I have done, was installing windows XP without activating it, went a whole week not knowing how to activate it, so I had to call microsoft because my serial code was wrong. ^.^
Few weeks ago. I had to reinstall Windows XP(dont ask:S) So I backed up all my stuff on my external HDD. But I didn't take it out off the computer. In windows setup i saw a HDD that I thought was not in my comp, so I was like WTF, windows sees another 80 GB? So I did format it... 99%..Then I thought F*CK, THAT WAS MY BACKUP! 30 GB of music, all gone.
I moved my brothers computer from one case to another. When we put it in the case, it didnt work. I thought I shocked the motherboard, so I bought a new one, but I learned that our hard drive was messed up, and there was nothing wrong with the motherboard, so I had to get a new hard drive, and I had a extra, perfectly fine motherboard.
LoL i did that too lol My computer rite now wont let me access .exe files directly. :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored:
aaaaah some people have it so easy worst thing i ever did was typed in some C:\deltree blah blah blah thing in my DOS because i heard something i downloaded off napster, some guys called a girl and acted like they were AOL and told her to do it and supposively it fked her computer up bad... well yeah basically as soon as i hit Enter ALL of my files started deleting and i couldnt turn my comp off... then finally when it shut off it wouldnt go back on bye bye computer
My mother found the windows map on her laptop. She asked me if I could make a .dll map, a .sys map and stuff. She wanted to keep her laptop organised :S
LOL, when I was first starting to learn about computers, I deleted every single file on my hard drive that wasn't associated with a program. I figured they were just chilling ther taking up space. Keep in mind this was back in the day of Windows 3.* and things like .dll and .sys files weren't marked as anything. So I basically deleted every file on that hard drive short of .txt, .doc, .exe, and .bat. Also this thread should be renamed to "Computer Confessions - Forgive us father for we have n00bed."
No offense to anyone..but, I think the dumbest thing I downloaded on my computer was KAZZA. As soon as I installed it and started searching for mp3..my so called Norton firewall lit up like a christmas tree.
