Ok everytime I log onto my computer this morning it stopped and restarted. Well, I went into safe mode, and it still did it. So I pulled out my windows xp disc and did a repair. Now everytime I log on I get a system memory dump. Well, anyone know how I can fix this? Or how I can pull some files from the computer and put them on a disc. The computer store I went to said theres a way how but I never found out from him.

Thanks for the help guys.

    Get Knoppix

Its a bootable linux CD, that you can look down at your hard drive and save it to cd. Saved my life a thousand times over..

Try repairing again, maybe read the system dump over, see if there is anything you recognize, or get Knoppix like XMasterX said.

sniper, obviously he has personal stuff on there.. a simple reformat will cause him to lose it.

Knoppix will help him to save his files on CD, and then just reformat..

you could have a trojan, cause thats one of the things that they do, randomly restart on you or not let you start at all.
