Need To Forward Ports For Warcraft3?

do i need to forward my ports for people to join my games?

can anyone tell me how?

 

you need to open port 6112 for Warcraft.

if you don't know how, go to:

choose your router and game (warcraft3)

 

will people or virus come into my computer and mess it up if i open port 6112?

i have a problem

i cant open the the pop-up screen where you enter your ip into the address box

 

in your address bar type your IP

 

thats what i just said..

 

did you enter your default gateway ip? if you dont know it run a command and type ipconfig hit enter and youll see your default gateway addreas should be somefin like 192.186.X.X

So, you double clicked your connection thing, saw the "default gateway", typed it into the address bar.
Then a screen appeared with configuration of your router with its brand name somewhere?
Take a screenshot for me.

 

then nothing happened.

 

are you hard wired to your router?

If you're wireless, i believe you cant do anything...
