As of the most recent hour, I have been divulging myself in topic after topic trying to learn what GR is all about. I have been here "actively" for about 1 week now, and I can say that I have hardly seen a topic in which the staff here is being commended. I mean, I see compliments here and there, but I mostly see ignorant asses flaming staff for the forum's inadiquecies. I think that not only are they mislead, but a great majority of those members are ungrateful. Gamerenders is one of the few forums that I have CONSTANTLY been referred to for all of my rendering needs. I never really like rendering, but ever since I came to this forum, I have been just taken aback from the GR community, and it's content. This forum is OUTSTANDING! In fact, I was so inspired that I started rendering, and I am pretty decent at it. The effects here are tremendous. Now the main purpose for this topic is because I have been hearing flaming. I have been here for over a month, but I was just mooching, but I still read topics other than rendering topics. I was here when llamaman had not left yet, and to tell you the truth, I notice no difference from when he was here, and now that he is gone. Yes, you don't see his name very often as the last reply to a post, but that's not something that is traumatizing. I think that ALL of the staff here should be thanked and congratulated for their hard work and effort put into this forum, because I can honestly say that I like the members and staff here. Every forum has it's staff that are just jerks, and you always wonder how in the hell they got the position, but I can safely and joyfully say that I have yet to see one here. This forum is ranked #1 for renders, even over renderplanet. That is a sick accomplishment. I do not know why I hear all of this whineing going on in the forum. Anyways, this topic is not meant for spammers, flamers, or just all around jerks. This topic is meant for positive feedback, say one rude thing, and I'll report the post and you may have your warn level increased depending on how the staff member feels. Thank you.
Yeah pretty much, the people complain but when it comes to needing something they come here. They wont stop coming, people create other names, I have seen it before. When they need something they turn to this site but they hardly take the time to say a thank you. It's just how some people are, they have themselves on their mind and only themselves. Edit If I had paypal I'd gladly donate but I don't so I try my best by cutting as a way of paying back.
I totally agree, I cannot tell you how many people use this place. Especially for those Photoshop users. They rely on people like us to make a good cut for them to use in their signatures, it's like it's own ecosystem.
Well thanks arcalypse. Llama did I great job with this site and all the mods here are great to work with. I was so glad to find out that the mods that are in place now stuck around when I took over and are still doing an awesome job. Thanks guys/gals. There are alot of users that are complaining, but in a wierd way, I like that, because it shows that there are alot of members that care what direction GR is going. I don't have a problem with peoples opinions about me or the site. Just hope one day all those opinions are thinking good things about me Thanks for the kind words arcalypse
I think this place is great, and without doubt worth the $5 premium membership just to help out the site. The staff is great, and so is the community, I just wish there were more greatfull people here of the staff.
Anytime Shaggy. I am not saying that having an opinion is wrong, but flaming is. Check around, you'll see how many idiots go around discussing things that are not only irrelevant, but cruel about you. It's stupid. having an opinion is fine, but expressing it is the thing that I am angry over. There are plenty of ways to say that the glass is half empty, without making the waitress angry.
We get one of these threads popping up once every few months, once the community starts to get a little, iffy. Nice post. ^.^
Thank you. I appreciate all of your support people. Thanks for not flaming. I know there are people who STRONGLY disagree with me, and I am not saying that their opinions don't matter, but you can guess what I mean from previous posts.
