Windows Service

hi all, i have a problem with a prog. i want to install called .NET framework V2.0

when i try to install it: there's an error which says that i don't have access to windows service.. i have tried to start in the service panel but it still doesn't work..

does anyone know how i can fix this??

What version of Windows do you have?

 

Are you doing this as the root user?
It could be an Administration thing...

and yes i tried 3 of the 4 accounts on the computer and neither of them worked..

 

did you try logging in as administrator? It's a hidden account, normally doesnt show up in the welcome screen.

 

ctrl+alt+del on welcome screen and enter the username "administrator" no quotes, then use the admin password you entered on initial windows configuration

 

im not that good with computers.. so would anyone mind making a printscreen out of it?

where is the welcome screen?

is it where you can log in on all the users or your desktop?? and when i hold crt+alt+nothing happenens at the screen where you can log in on users of this computers..

and where can i find the admin password that i have entered on initial windows configuration?

 

Where u log into each user account.

I dont think u can find the admin password if ur not the admin...

Do you have Service Pack 2 of windows? or 1? i think you may need 2...

What is the exact error message u get?
If that admin crap dont work for you, then u'll have to make a text file or screenshot of ur services and I may be able to tell u what to do
