Might I point out that according to your profile, you haven't even been here a year, let alone a "few years".

I'm not buying into the argument, anyway. I'm not at all concerned. I haven't been particularly affected, yet, so I have no reason to complain.

I think I have the right to advertise on this site. I own it. So what is wrong with me doing that?

    Exactly.
Everyone just over exaggerated to nothing.

I get regular advertisements from multiple sites I go on, and its not like GR is cheap to run.

    Thanks for playing.

    At shaggy:
    - Llama used to be the owner of the site... he didnt advertise, why should you? Face the facts, GR has changed. Better or worse is to everyones own opinion, i see it as worse.

Actually, every form of advertisement youve seen from Shaggy and not from Llama has been available for anyone to purchase, even e-mail advertising as shaggy did, it is nothing new, just no one wanted to purchase it until recently (shout may have, but Llama knows that alot of members from GR dislike Shout and wouldnt have let it go, shaggy didnt have the benefit of this information).

Plus GR was going downhill before Shaggy joined, its the members not the admin that is doing it.

One spam e-mail is killing one of the best known graphic sites on the web? Doubt it.

I figured there might have been a cheeky little reason like that, which is why I left myself my loop-hole clause: "In your profile."

    *wipes brow*

Bleh, still not buying into the argument.

I have not been here that long, and I have not been active that long so I cannot really say whether this topic's source is true or not, nor will i defy someone's opinion, but I have news for people. Once a forum expands, it becomes a bit looser every week until you have to tighten the knot again. I suggest you hire more moderators to patrol the forums, although some may think that this is not the best idea, I do know my facts and I am right about this. Hire people who you know will help, and not hinder the forums. Although I really don't think this forum is that bad, you can never have TOO much help. Okay you can, but in this format, you cannot. Members are outgrowing moderation. And maybe it's time to try something new, how about you make a new contest or something. Something to get the community going, and separate the freeloaders, from the members.

You're advertising a horrible website who are trying to be EXACTLY like GR, in otherwords, posieurs (french) posers, in english, and it's not cool. Get a better rep as a website, stop trying to imitate GR, then it won't be so bad.

i understand were your coming from Cheeky but at the same time you have to give Shaggy a chance to freaking already ditch on a guy becuase of change isn't the way to go honestly...we need to help him out and learn how the site works though the members view the site...not the moderators

I dont think because you own the site you should have any more leeway than anyone else to break the rules. That's not showing a good example to any of the members. So what? You own the site, why does that give you the rights to advertise your own site?

You should follow your own rules.

    Just my 2 cents.
