well, theoretically you could have an infinite number, all you have to do is logically divide your harddrive(s) to get more and/or ad more harddrives.

futhermore, it's possible(though not recomended) to install more than one copy of windows to a single partition

You have to partition your hard drive (well you should do, anyways). There are lots of programs that do it for you, and most OSes have a tool for doing it anyway.

you have to format your drive, while installing windows, choose to create a partition, not just pressing enter at the drive screen. then create it so it has 30gb, install windows.

then take your linux, and pop the disk in, boot off it, and create your linux in the other partition. It will do it automatically for you.

*sigh* there are ways to use your current setup with Linux, but its risky. just save everything to cd/dvd...

lol sorry im not as smart as you when it comes to computers. But im getting there. anyway i just read an article about linux so i dont want it anymore im ganna get windows media edition. I have a cd to that. So all i need to do is pop that cd in then press f12 or f8 or 1 of those then go to cd drive or something like that. I though i needed a program first for that.

partition magic i very helpful for situations liek yours, there is a smal chance that it will break your install but t most liekly won't I consider it a true blessing fo a program

    don't create a virus, ok?

backup everything to cd or dvd, and pop the MCE cd in, when it asks you to 'press a key to boot from CD', do so, and go through the setup..
