I prefer it to be from Canada Computers, or any other Canadian company, I need it half decent, AMD processor, and my budget is 1000. I dont need a monitor, but I need a keyboard, mouse, speakers, etc.
what are your specs on your current computer and is that computer that you're on now still going to be used after your new one is complete. if that computer wont be used again, and the hard drive(s) and CD (maybe DVD) drives are still worth using, you can save some money from those and possibly look at the x2 3800+, a DFI Lanparty (maybe), a x800GTO... just to get this started... or you could wait for the Intel's Core 2 Duo series... that is if you can spend about $300ish on just the CPU + Mobo
This computer isn't mine, so nothing can be saved from it, otheer than the PCI 128 meg (Not -e) graphics card for a bit.
A PCI card...no..just..no... He'll have to get a new one, that'll just be too old.. I still say he waits however..
well yeah, that's what everone is saying to do, and it's the truth. gosh, i cant imagine how cheap some of the processors are going to be on newegg now. i looked earlier and i think the Pentuim D 930 Presler was like $200? I bought my Pentium D 820 for $245 in January.
Yep, and its going to be even more cheaper when Conroe comes out.... I'd just suggest you waiting a month, just as I do then when they come out buy it Where are you going to use it for? Gaming, Office? Btw I think http://www.tigerdirect.com/ ships to canada right?
