I personally like the games better but there isnt one better system it just depends which you personally like best. I like the games for ps3 so ill get that where my brother likes the wii games. Its just your point of view and you wil never change the other persons.
Price, price per spec, raw power, specs in comparison to the other consoles, lack of any innovation, still only 2 controler ports, New games will probably cost $60+, because of skyrocketing development costs, Sony has failed to offer any compelling reasons why PS3 is better than Xbox 360, especially when you compare the prices of each, PS3 simply can't compete with Wii's exciting new approach, The $500 version sucks ass. It lacks HDMI, Wi-Fi and memory stick slots (not sure ), bye bye rumble feature, $600!, Not everyone has HDTV so for those unlike me who are unlucky enough not to have HDtv..your just wasting even more money. Sony is screwing you over with the money, Hell, I would buy it if it was costing less but at 600 dollars sony should have come out with something that would totally blow the competition away (which I was hoping for). Ignorantly I sold my ps2 to get a Ps3 without even reasearchign it.. now that i know what it is capable of, i believe it was a mistake. You could easily buy 360 and Wii for the price of a ps3 minus even a hundred dollars. The ps3 sucks because its going to screw you over finnacially. Games, Console, Mediocrety and all. Hopefully they'll do somethign to make the ps3 worth the price. Maybe make it stronger in raw power than the 360 because right now its weaker. Or try to innovate now ways to include their 6 degree tilt system or maybe do something to make it a better experience. Right now..Wii has that ---- in the bag but with sony comming out still later this year they might be able to do something. Drop some of the unessessary features like the blue-ray. Sony's got alot of game developers backing them but even the games will be expensive. Too much of a ps2 fanbase, thats probably the only thing selling the ps3. I, myself am more of a party gamer, i dont play everyday, I just play during gathers of either friend or family, and having games that are open to all people. Thus I'm getting the Wii, but not after looking into it. If the Wii sucks also, then i wont be getting any Next-Gen console. With Wii you can download older games from systems like NES,SNES,N64...but in order to download them,you will need to pay a certain amount of money =/
Irrelevant, because you won't buy one for $600 doens't mean it sucks... that just means you think it's expensive. Also Xbox360 also supports partial HD, but because Ps3 has full HD it suddenly becomes a waste for people without a HD tv. What's up with that anyway. As if the xbox graphics will be better on a normal tv because it isn't as HD as the Playstation... The price is just as high as it has been before with the original xbox and PS2. But now all of a sudden it is too high because AHMIGOD Microsoft has a $300 version that no-one would ever want. So now everyone needs the next gen consoles to be underpriced. For those $200 compared tot the Xbox360 and the lesser Ps3 version you get a lot of bonus features for a good price. Some people don't need that stuff ? They only want a console for gaming and nothing else ? YOU FRIGGIN WISH. Today no one buys a console just for gaming, not even mainstream, they all want fancy multimedia options, harddrives and standard blu-ray on every console.
no, nothing is innovative if its been done better by someone else. Yes blue-ray is more effective than DVD but it has compatability issues and as of yet, is not the offical universal thing like a DVD is. Its a possibility that the whole thing can still blow, but not that much. That would probably cost more than 100 $. meaning it would be more cost effective to buy the $600 one. If you are buying Ps3, i suggest you get the $600 version. Whether its a must or not is irrelevant. Fact is that sony is still making you pay for it, regardless of whether you have HDTV or not. The fact that you make such a general statement like that is very hurtful to your credibility. I myself look for gaming in my gaming console. I want great games at a low price. I already have a DVD player, I already have a CD player, I already have an MP3 player, I already have a computer. Blu-Ray is an untested format that isn't even popular in the media market. Why do I need to buy a $600 machine that does all the things I listed when I already have those things? Plus, Blu-Ray's memory will only be utilized for extras, not the movie itself. The PS3 is incredibly unnappealing to me when I could get a Wii that has everything I need out of a gaming machine. Wii's new motion mumbo jumbo stuff is great but their games suck, but PS3 has amazing games and that motion mumbo plus DVD and Blu Ray and all that high tech stuff
Villain, read the post above you, he knows what he is talking about. Wii has best game selections at a cheaper cost, PS3 just has a bunch of useless features, a few really good games, at an insanly high cost. Wii is the only console that deserves to be called "Next-Gen"

I haven't read everything, but I have to say the PS3 is a bargain in my eyes. The UK price is £425, a standalone bluray player costs £1000 at least, plus the fact it supports most formats and PS1, PS2 games, you are going to be able to stream real content (60 may also), A linux OS (it is practically a PC, so bespoke software?) and more i might be forgetting... I think people want SCEI to lose money and bankrupt themselves or something, i mean ffs they had to take out twin HDMI, and WI-FI routing capablities to keep the price down... my opinion..
