People want to do what they want to do... Bands use it to promote themselves. 13 Year old girls that look like whores...use it to....advertise themselves lol. I use it to promote myself ( I'm a DJ) so yeah, its not completely pointless....
I feel that myspace could be safe if you play it right.. for example when u sign in and see you have a friend request... if you go to their profile and see there pics.. if you dont know who they are BLOCK THEM! and only add friends to ppl you know!! I feel thefore its safe to only add peeps u know!
Exactly what people should do but they dont. So therefore they are putting themselves in danger. I think that it is fascinating of how stupid some people are giving out theyre whole life to people they dont even know.
One word for myspace, trouble, if you use it wrong, you may be stalked or something, if you use it right, people will see your safe and hack ur azz! Stay away!
Myspace is not a safe place, but you can make it safe. Myspace is not to blame, its the stupid children who stamp pictures of themselves all over, leave their profile public, myspace whore, add tons of friends, give out personal info, etc. They can set there profile to private and change their default picture so it isn't of them. Also never date through a site like this. I use facebook which is the equivalent to myspace, but it is much safer because all profiles are automatically set to private unless you are part of the listed school they are listed under. Its invite only and you have to be invited by someone of the school you go to. How often do child molestors get invites? Not too often I would hope.

I was looking over the rules again and it says that if they find someone lying about their age that they will delete their profile, but the question is do you see that happening? The other question is why dont they enforce this rule.
