try a scan in safe mode? i have had some relatively messed up screens that are fixed by reloading, but I havnt had a screen that is horizontally twice as long or longer than my screen resolution or no information at all presented on the main board...
actually, oddly enough... it was windows updates... i restarted and all was well again... *close please*
