Ok, in my previous topic I had a problem with my comps onboard sound, I did a system restore which fixed the problem. My problem now is my computers headset mic, friends and players in Counter-Strike say it's way to low when my voice transmitt and voice boost is all the way up. I dont want to screw my sound up again my messing with volume and controls. Help plz? if it helps my OS is windows media center.
if there is a setting on the headset, make sure that is set right. make sure you are on the play control, not the record control when setting volumes for the mic.
My headset is on and there isnt a mic volume control on it. Merged Post: OK now in CS when i test my mic it makes a weird noise and repeats it. Ok now when i test my freakin mic hardware it echos and makes a distored sound like something hitting a wall and scratching
uhh, relax? think that's disorting, like it has interfence with your speakers or something, or it is too close to your mouth..
So there's nothing wrong with the mic then? Are you using a USB mic? You could try going into Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices and click the "Voice" tab and mess around with the volume and settings and see if that works.
