This will be my first computer build and I have picked out some parts that I would like. I would just like to hear any suggestions for different things with around the same price. It's going to sorta be a mid-range computer [poor HS student], mostly gaming and other normal stuff.

    Case - Cooler Master C5
PSU - Antec SP-500w [already own]
GFX Card - eVGA 6600GT 128mb AGP [already own]
    RAM - Corsair Value Select 512mb + Corsair 512mb I already own
Motherboard - ASRock 939Dual-SATA2 ATX AMD [when I plan to upgrade from AGP to PCI-E]
    CPU - AMD Athlon 64 3200+ or a 3500+ for $50 more
    Hard Drive - WD Raptor 74GB 3.5" 10,000 RPM

    -optional-
Fan/HS - Thermaltake Big Typhoon + Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound + extra fans to replace stock ones [might just stick with stock to save some money]
Sound Card - Creative Sound Blaster Audigy2 ZS
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Any suggestions for changes?

    Thanks

In a month, maybe less, new CPU's will be out, so that may be lowering the price for you a bit :D

I dont think75 gb will be enough for you. Try to get another one thats like, 180+..
    just dont get a maxtor

how much are u willing to spend? if you're gonna do a pretty big upgrade, u should sell your 6600 and get a PCI e one.
