Few days back , my frickin little brother was surfing around the net and downloaded many weird stuff. After that time , when I try speaking in MSN , the other party would read it as unknown characters like " ?????_????" . If this keeps up , I don't know what to do. It's pretty hard to imagine not being able to talk to your friends.

I tried searching my PC and I did found out that program name is " implus". I can't find the uninstallation file for it so I tried deleting it manually. You wouldn't be able to delete it and it would say something like " Cannot access file " or something like that and etc. Anyone has ever encountered this error ? There's no way I can keep up having this error. My mom has already banned my brother not to use the PC.

If you need anymore info , PM me or something.

Run an anti-spyware program like "SpyBot: Search and Destroy" and an anti-virus program. If that doesn't help, boot the computer in safe mode, and you will be able to delete the file manually.

Also, it's better to run anti-spyware/virus programs in safe mode.

For more info on aforemented things, google is your friend.

And also, I googled that "implus" and it seems to me it's not any spyware/malware/virus or anything. Just scan your computer for those things, if that won't help, post here again.

check what language your using in it, because it sounds like chinese or some sort of character language, and windows XP dosnt reconize those characters (but mac does).

Well, I can read his posts, so his problem is limited to MSN only.

I thought of the Language problem too, but that doesn't make sense if the error is restricted to MSN.

I do not have a clue what has happened. Maybe you could try updating to Windows Live Messenger 8 to see if that solves the issue.
