In my opinion, As I Lay Dying is one of current best metalcore bands you'll find. Although it may not be the hardest band ever, Shadows Are Security contains enough riffs and double bass poundings that'll leave you satisfied. This is AILD's fourth album and many say it's their best yet. The lyrics are very well written and have depth and detail to them. Everything fits together well into a listening experience that you need to hear to understand.

If you are just getting into the metal/metalcore/hardcore scene, I would suggest listening to this CD. It even has some more melodic-type songs if you like that style. Even if you aren't into metal, just check out at least two of their songs: Confined and Through Struggle. Overall it's a great album, that you can listen to anytime at all, and I'd suggest it to anyone who was into this type of music.

This is a GREAT CD! Let's see....I have listened to the first three songs about 120 times (Itunes)

Favorite song is Losing Sight, but all of them are great! Everyone who likes this style of music must buy this CD.

Their first album is Beneath The Encasing Of Ashes and their second is a split CD with American Tragedy.
