voted 300+ for the vey simple reason i belive that the one creating the tut most hve the right to charge for it what he wand. even if it would be 300 credits or more. its his/hes work noone has the rights to tell them what to do whit it. also if the prices ae equel a crap tut cost as much as a awsome tut. different quality same price. thats not how the world works.
That would be a valid point if there were some sort of regulatory body that independently viewed and gradeed tutorials. But there isn't, and the only person who truly knows what the tut is like before selling is the creator. So who's to say that a 300+ cr tutorial is any better written or even teaches the average user any more than the 50 cr version (or even the free ones).
I voted 50. Fair price, and as Vendetta (or something) said. You still can make 1000+ if its really good with lots of buyers. I also feel it would be nice for new users. EDIT: Alias, all got different style. You know. What if you we're one of those crappy tut makers. Would it then be fun when watching you're post? Think about that please. -zex
I voted 100 because quite frankly, while I agree with the rule, I feel that that would be a better cap. 50 credits is a bit too low in my book but the entire rule was a good start.
im not judging who makes good or ad tuts. but everyone know we have good tuts o bad tuts. im not judging any of them. im just poining out how the wold works. maby in a bad use of word put my point is clear
300+. If you can't afford it, live with it, it's not the end of the world. There are BILLIONS of tutorials out there, that is the only one out there? If you can't afford it, and you want it, WORK for it. We should be able to sell OUR tutorials at whatever price we feel we want.
Really this hurts everyone. It hurts the sellers because they lose out on credits and the buyers because now they lose the detail in the tutorials. This is a lose lose situation. No matter what you say or how you think. that is what it boils down too.
150 for me since I wouldnt buy a tutorial for anything over that, and no one should.....interesting tho, at the current vote it's 33 for 50 creds a tut, and 33 for 100+ a tutorial, that's including 150, 200, 250, etc....
I'd like to know what you all think the purpose of GameRenders is. Do you think it exists to make credits for it's members, as a forum providing a place where members are able to sell and accumulate credits? Or do you think that it exists to provide educational resources to it's members, to provide a forum of open exchange of ideas and skills in an effort to better the graphics community as a whole? If you think its the former, then by all means take out the price ceiling. If you think it's the latter, which I personally hope most of you do, consider the benifits of the existing price limits.
