Well I just got back from X-Men: The Last Stand, or as I will refer to it from here on. Lets just start off by saying this, ALWAYS USE FANDANGO. I got to the theater without any tickets, I'm like "ok is the 9:45 show still open?" The answer I recieved was NO. So now I'm pissed at myself for not FANDANGOing my tickets. I decide to drive to this other theater which is sh**y and horrible. I get in an start watching. On to the review: Well I must admit I was VERY worried walking into the thater that this movie with a rushed script, and a new director would absolutely tank and destroy the franchise. Turned out I somewhat right and somewhat wrong. Well basically follows a Dark Phoenix plot line. Beast is the secretary of Mutant affairs for the U.S. Government. Mystique is being held captive by the government. A "cure" has been developed on Alcatraz Island (now a drug making plant. This supposed "cure" permanently suppresses the Mutant X gene (or does it? ). Sonn after the beginning of the movie though, The whole love affection between Jean and Wolverine becomes the center-fold for some actions taken in the plot. The music was well done. And so was the camera angles used. Acting was splendid due to the stellar cast. Hugh Jackman still proves he is the best god damn person to play Wolverine. The special effects were flawsless as well. Especially when Magneto took the Golden Gate Bridge and repositioned it using his awesome powers. Although was short it was very enjoyable. I would definitely recommend it for fans of the other X-Men films. Though it could have been better, its neither the best or worst movie in the franchise. There are hints for an X4, though I highly doubt it will ever be made due to the course the plot took. My rating would have to be an 8/10 ^_^
i saw it yesterday ...i was kinda pissed at my theater though cuz the fire alarm went off 15min into the movie but luckily we got 1 free ticket to come watch another movie after watching xmen i thought the movie was excellent but the ending was pretty crappy Rating: 9/10
this was a perfect way to start of my summer great movie Acting- ++++ Story- +++ Visual Effects- +++++ go see this movie you will be glad you did
^same, I would of gone and seen it the night it came outwith a friend, but i hurt my leg and can hardly walk
awesome movie man like great X4 will kinda suk cuz alot of the deaths in tthe movie but the effects were crazii the house being rised by jean all the people turning to dust the golden gate bring rising awesome stuff man
I'm going to see it in like 13 hours. I've wanted to see it since Thursday night, so me and a couple of friends(like 13) are giong to go see it tommorrow. Everyone I know that has seen it has said that its really good though.
I just got back from it. It was awesome. If anyone goes to it, stay after the credits for the final scene. I loved Juggernaut's line. I also like Wolverine: "Try growing those back!"
