Well I thought since no one reviewed any of these I would... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ->NHL 06 (I played for x-box, ps2, pc) Pros: Great graphics Good Commentary Great Deakes More goalie saves Better Hitting More Teams (from other leagues) Cons: Not as many options as 2K6 Not as many setting as 2K6 No Goal Review!!! Deakes are way too unrealistic Overall: Its a really fun game to play but lacks realism and does not have as many options as I hoped it would. However, I must say the checking is great. There are many teams from Sweedish leagues etc. The deakes are way too unrealistic because you can pull them out at any time which NHL players can not. The commentary is good as always for EA games. I like how the goalies make a variety of saves. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ->NHL 2K6 (I played for x-box, ps2, No PC Version) Pros: Party Mode =D Realistic (other than the hitting) Many settings Tons of options Enforcers Hitting in bench Cons: Hitting is unreal Not great commentary No Goal Review!!! No good deakes Overall: Great game filled with tons of options, party mode is really fun to play with friends. The hitting is unreal... but you can adjust the settings. Inforces are fun and hitting someone into the bench is great and adds some "attitude" to the game. The commentary is not great though. In addition, I don't like the deakes there isnt much excitment. FINAL VERDICT Both games are exciting to play but it comes down to game play overall and not just graphics and exciting deekes. Winner: NHL 2K6 it is also 10$ cheaper (but that did not change the verdict) What would have been better... for the past 6 years Goal Review has been taken out of the game. This is a terrible move by both companies and takes out the intensity of waiting and reviewing.
06 for the win. And the Right Analog Stick Dekes are so realistic. They're not hard to do at all outside...well for me anyways...maybe you just can't do them..
