Anyone know of a screen recorder... like anything you do on the computer (typing, playing a game) is recorded in a friendly format (avi maybe)? Thanks...

You have to choose to record sound. It might lag b/c of your RAM. How much you have? I recomend 1GB.

i have the full version too but it still lags. i know it's not my pc because i have another screen recording program that doesn't lag at all but i don't have the full version of it so it puts a watermark on anything i record

btw...by lag, i mean that the framerate seems choppy

there is one called Fraps, but it only primarily works on games.

try checking for spyware, and/or shut down a few programs.

I tried fraps... it's great but only works for 30 seconds unregistered unlike the other trial recordings (I DO want one that works with games)....

Yeah, I like one that works for games as well. I like Fraps for that. Though, Camtasia is good, it is for Business use. It works well for that professional recording. ;) I HIGHLY doubt you will find one for free m8, not for what you want it for. Sorry.

I have no clue why it LAGS so bad... while I'm recording it lags the game like crazy, doesn't record audio (even though I select record audio)... then when I do play the movie it's laggy just like it is in the game

It DOES record the audio. You just have to have it set up right. Also, it doesn't play sound in preview. It does when you are editing.
