im getting an ultra x2 550w modular power supply tonight for 70 bucks after rebate. i searched newegg but couldnt find information on it but what do you guys think of this psu?
I personally would say Antec ftw, even over TT. Just cuz defusion says so...and he is like, one of those Demi-Gods...soo..xD http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16817103931
had one of those store brought and the ----er fried on boot gone another one and did the same thing so i returned them and order a rosewill http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16817182003 very good psu has not failed yet
BAsically dont go off to other companies dude - GO for a good repped company Like for example Antec and ThermalTake - Awesome rep and there PSU's are quality - I got a Antec 550W PSU and it rox - No overheating, freezing or anything like that enough power for the PC I love it ...
I just heard bad of Rosewill PSU's, sry. Ultra was another I heard bad of. Just tryin to help, if its good for you, great, but I dont trust things if I hear any bad of them...never really hear anything bad of Antec..no i didnt get one, but eh..oh well..i got a decent one anyway..
yup psu brands in that price range to go for are antec, epower, tagan and fortron. I must urge people not to buy thermaltakes. Sure their cases and cooling are good but not their psus.
The X2's not bad at all. It's fine, Newegg just doesn't sell stuff made by Ultra. Edit: But if you insist on changing, I'd go with the Sunbeam NUUO. It's an excelent PSU, and very cheap for what it offers. ($80 or so) Edit, Part Duex: Diablo, the Puma II is great for the $40-$50 range, but there are much better offerings in the $70+ range.
