---- fraps for a 2 min video it takes up 2GB's besides its only a ingame recordor as far as i know

 

its 30 seconds if you have trial.

 

Uhm.. I don't want it to film my whole screen though, I need a way to edit it so it's just that little screen that's playing..

 

then get camtasia by techsmith. you can seclect a region what you want to record

 

You can make a selection with Camcasia to fit the little screen size

 

there was a tut i seen somewhere on 'how to record streaming media' ill try find it

Okay, recorded, now how do I change to .gif and make it less laggy/less space?

 

Same thing...its common sense to find it..

and yea, Fraps isnt very good IMO. I never liked it.

 

im not sure how to change movie to gif but heres a process:

download easy gif animator ( http://www.download.com )
make a new folder
open up windows movie maker
open ur vid in wmm
for each frame click the button that says capture frame or w.e. ( it takes a ss of the frame)
save each frame into your new folder
open up in easy gif animator
adjust settings and save

 

And this'll insert the clip into my .ppt?
