I can't find anything on how to hook up a laptop screen to my 7900GTX I have my normal 19" but I have a really old laptop, can I make that screen on the laptop hook up to my main computer?
It won't work. In theory, you could get a TV tuner and set it up so you can input a signal to it; but there would be a lot of lag and it would be impractical.
Hold on il help Merged Post: Now connect the wires below to your video card s-video out Now you need a s-video Cord...If you dont got one go buy one(im assuming you have one) Connect the wire to this one
Isn't that using a TV card or is that using a built in graphics card with and external output, it might lag.
Dude He has a 7900GT GFX card Most Laptops Come with an S-Video Out im assuming his does.... And no its not a TV card and it wont lag.
Hooking up your computer to another computer's screen? Well, I am not too sure. Erm, I will think about it and re-read this later on so that I fully understand. I am going to mow the yard. ROFL I know what you are working on now. Okay, there is no way to make your laptop run off of the Graphics on a 7900. The reason is because, the motherboard on your Notebook will not accept the same cards as your computer. Obviously for size reasons. So, unless you buy another mobile radeon or nvidia card, you won't get anywhere with it. I am sorry.
if I want to hook up my monitor from my pc to my labtop, i have a mac labtop and mac labtops come with a cable so i can plug it directly in
if you're dual-monitoring with a laptop, usually they have a seprate Analog (blue) slot. dont think its possible to ONLy use your monitor on your laptop for you screen for you computer.
I just want to use the laptop as a second screen, nothing else. And I think I found a way to do it, it's complicated and I have to set up a network similar to server centers, but it should work.
