I (or we) are not sure.. It has been tested on the standard blue XP theme, as well as the Royale theme.

most likely, it will not work.. but if it does, let us know..

Do you have admin rights? It needs to be a power user or admin account.

Since I have a Vista theme ... I am somewhat scared to try this. Last time ... when I tried changing the logon screen (to one that was not compatable) I was unable to use windows for a while until I fixed it ... plus ... my parents were pissed (even though they gave the comp to me :D )

Does it lag your computer if you do change it?

No, no lag at all. You are editing an ACTUAL Windows process. So, you will be fine. It will be like running the regular one. ;)

Though, I forgot to mention. If you run Adaware and stuff it might change the registry back. Then you will just have to change the information back. You don't have to edit the file with the Resource hacker.

WFCxT-time, a big no-no... switching the log-in screen or the splash can mess up your computer, big time.

what we are doing here is editing a system file, just changing one small variable...

Yeah, never change the Boot or log theme unless you are using something Like I did here. Because unless it is Windows. Then, it isn't going to be very safe to do so.
